From Bournemouth to Hunter Valley

Captiv8 Dance Studio, formerly known as Dizzy Feet Dance Academy, was founded in 2007 in Bournemouth, United Kingdom.

Moving to Sydney Australia, at the end of 2014, the dance academy was reborn.

Now located in Hunter Valley NSW, with a new name, new logo and brand new studio, Captiv8 Dance Studio is looking forward to welcoming you to the dance family.

Founded by a Passionate Dancer

Chantelle-Marie Vellenoweth

Owner/ Director/ Dance Instructor

Chantelle, a mother of 3 has a very strong passion for dance and has danced since the age of 2. With a strong background in Baton Twirling, Pom, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, and Street Dance, the Captiv8 founder brings decades of dance experience to the studio. She has trained in the United Kingdom Alliance Syllabus (UKA), has taken various levels of examinations with Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), performed at prestigious venues like the London Palladium, and taught dance to students of all ages.

In 1996, Chantelle became Lead girl and instructor for the Wessex International Majorettes, teaching Baton twirling and Pom. Completing a diploma in Performing arts (Dance) in 2002 and passing her teachers exam in 2007, she then opened her own dance academy.

After taking some time out, moving to the Hunter Valley and having her last baby in January 2024, Chantelle cannot wait to teach again. You may even get to see baby Harlan at some of the classes.
